Last freedom is the mind. Can't control the mind completely. Always hope hiding somewhere.

                              Utopia of the pen and the paper.

In the sixties. There was a good dream.
We support to be working 32 hours a week and enjoying art, poetry and music by the year 2000.
The Utopia dream fell apart by poor decisions and incompetent leaders.

Utopia had become a forgotten dream and word.
People believe work is life. Life is work. People had become like cattle waiting for the slaughter by
a government that had lost control.

The media is controlled.
A waiting list for men and women taking the chance on war than finding work in a desperate times.

Poor kids are looking for answers and reasons to try.
The USA flag bleed of distaste for peace and poor young people pay the price.
America the beautiful. Is America with 47 million people on welfare.
One in four are going to bed hungry.

Utopia of the pen and the paper is our last chance.
We must express what we need and want.
We must demand change.

I tell the kids.
Education, education and more education.
Travel, test life and have fun. Don't allow the liars to destroy their hope.

There is Utopia for the wise.
Love, dance and test life.
Ride the big storms in the great sea. Climb to the highest mountain peaks.
Know pleasure and have many good days of laughter and good friends near.

I believe like the great Neil Young quote. "Times are a-changing."
We are strong in the USA.
The Utopia of the pen and paper cannot be controlled.
Free-will and dreams cannot be killed off.
Strong people will survive and become stronger my friend.

If no-one volunteers for the police actions.
Would we have Soldiers?
Yes we would. The draft.

Dreamers lead with their hearts. Utopia is far away today.
Dreamers still dream. People are tire of war.
We must write, create art and music.
Ensure Utopia is felt by the kids.

kids need to know they are safe and sound.
Not future Soldiers for a Government with war as their tool.

Freedom my friend. Is missed when it is gone.

Utopia of the pen and paper. Use it wisely.
Our choices today will balance the future of this generation and the next.

Again... like the first one I read... this compliments even more... the utopia is not gone... but yet sinking... we hold the undivided line of where we choose to go from here... the idea that a child finds reading...boring is astounding...and ask him/her to watch a movie...the reaction is totally different...they love them...because the work is already done for them...I got that from over-hearing a child talk about school...he said his least favorite subject was literature (reading)...if that shows any sign of drought...then I guess we have to step up the plate...when children are raising children...there's a development of lack for luster...I can go on... but I believe you see the picture...

Read some Dryden. I found one of his books at a library sale. Best of Dryden. I read his book. The world had not changed. War, greed and Israel was the problem 500 years ago. Funny how the world did not change. Thank you for reading and the comments

Everyone seeks change. Voices fade unheeded. Future will unfold with the baggages of the past. "The dead would remain asleep and the living would count off the rest in numbers." We dream of Utopias as if they do not exist when in fact they already do. The lesser nobles already reside in what we consider as Utopias.

Peace and contentment is only an idea. It will never come to realization. I think the only time we could attain true peace is after the planet is annihilated. True contentment can only be obtained once everyone is equal in all sense, socially, monetarily, etc.

Hitler is one of many. Bush attacked a country for no reason. There is Vietnam? How many innocent folks had died? A nuclear, Bio or chemical weapon is different. 40 mile kill zone. Will kill woman, children and city. One nuclear weapon could murder a million people in seconds. Next 40 miles will died a terrible death. Hitler wasn't the first and he isn't the last.

It is horrid to think how the world will be for future generation, the UK is just the same, an unimportant piece of their matrix...It is shameful humans are not standing up to this. Yes they cut education. Here in Michigan. Two school districts had to close down. No money to run schools. This is very sad. All of us should have concern for the foolish men in Washington D.C.

Sometimes we ponder what we have left for our children and future generations to hold onto. Is this utopia only a dream. There are times when I think so. I share many of your thoughts and fears and yearn for the day when freedom does not come because of war! Excellent thoughts my friend!!
