Lay lady lay

Lay lady lay

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Some 4-5 line poetry. A effort.

"

                             Lay lady lay

---

She peeled her clothing off slow and easy like a stripper tempting a wanting man.
She stood bare for me and I knew she wasn't real.
She looked into my eyes searching for some kind of emotions.
I whispered to her. I want to see your real face.

----

She wore a brilliant disguise.
Her angelic face made me fall into her embrace.
She played the devil and angel with grace.
Her phrases spoken were to tempt me, to fall into a false love.

----

Bitter or sweet.
Simmered love or a careless love.
We will know sorrow or sweetness.
I believe all attempts at love are blessings.

So hard to undress ourselves for others. I'm not talking about taking off our clothes, I'm talking about stripping away our walls, our fronts, our masks. It takes a lot of patience and trust to expose our true selves. I like your ending though. As long as there are opportunities then there's hope. Nice one Coyote.

Finding true love is a lottery. In fact there is more chance of winning the lottery. Most of us acquiesce. But as you say every attempt at trying to love is worthy. Only downside is the scars and the resentment left behind by failure?

'I believe all attempts at love are blessings'. That must be a version of my line, 'love is always worth it'! lol. Thank you for allowing me to read.

Steamy stuff Coyote.
"I want to see your real face..." - what an awesome line! - Like something Bogart might have stricken Bacall with.

Love Melanie's version of that song. Your words complement it so well. I could picture the scene. Indeed, love connections are blessings, no doubt about it. Great write. Lydi**

Thank you Gullia. I appreciate the comment.
Glad to read your work once again, Coyote.

"Lay Lady Lay" sounds like "La La La Land" movie song that has its own captivating, & very mind-hypnotizing tendency or a capacity to have readers utter magnetized with its love. Choice of words, especially the destiny of your thoughts's very profounding. You mix romance with faith, & faith with proper love. Beautifully written!
