Should I stay or should I go?

Should I stay or should I go?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Just some words.

"

Should I stay or should I go

Wild world and free road was my love
my pretty lady never tamed,
never honest,
never true.
I was her last stop and she whispered to me.
baby, should I stay or should I go?

I told her,
can't tame the sea,
must wait-out the big storms,
Easy is never sweeter.
Door is always open for you and my door is swinging door for you.
My heat wave love,
my thunderstorm,
I am just waiting for the calm after the storm.
Please stay baby girl, you can keep me warm tonight and we can drink some coffee
in the early morning.

Early morning talk, we can discuss the escape or maybe find some reasons for you to stay.

There's that famous saying, If the door's left open for departure or return.. you know it's real when the return becomes permanent. Perhaps with some extra love and trust, that quote proves true1

' My heat wave love, - my thunderstorm, - I am just waiting for the calm after the storm. '

Fine write, John, as ever in your special voice plus - the patience and honesty to juggle the odds!

Sometime we must juggle the odds dear Emma. I appreciate the comment.
I think most can see themselves in this scene, a bit anxious, fearing a bad outcome. But, everything looks and feels better with the first sip of coffee, especially if shared. Good write.

been there and done that, Coyote....asked myself that question more times than i could count.
and sometimes i should have gone...but eventually she left, so the decision was out of my hands. I guess i was always stubborn in love.

Some woman are runners. Thank you Jacob for reading and the comment. I do appreciate.
The decision to stay or to go is a heavy one. When someone keeps the door open for you to do either, that is freedom...and that is true love. Again, your words are well written. Love the song too. Lydi**

I liked her version of the old song too and thank you Lydia for reading and the comment.
Not too sure if this is sad or not. Sometimes, for some people staying is right, for others freedom's road beckons and is far too irrisistible.

Stay is the answer
Even if you can't find a reason
Stay and one will eventually come

I love you use of metaphor and your visual imagery.
