Two Brothers

Two Brothers

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I learn how fragile life can be in 1988-1989. Better to be kind to your friends and family. World punish them enough already.

"

Two brothers

After years of running toward a road.
 I could not find.

I found out why I should of been kinder.
Learn to forgive.

Be a friend instead of a b*****d.
With only his dreams as his goals.

I look at my life with so many victories.

But the gift of love wasn't one of my skills.

I wished too late to listen.
Instead of lecture.

I learn not all people want wealth and power.

Some people are happy with small dreams.

They need someone to lean on.

Two young boys of 18 years.
One year apart took their own lives.

They were not equips to handle the fight the world of living.

When they needed the gentleness of a soft heart.
Someone to give them hope.

No-one was there.

They decided death was sweeter then life.

Alone and without any notice or words.

They kick away a chair.

Told the world to f**k off.

Why can't I feel complete?

I try to help them.
My hard words were cold and demanding.

I don't visit their graves.
There is nothing left of them.

I remember two strong boys running together toward a better place.

I hope.

I have become more gentle.
I accept mistakes.

I tell friends and family.

Please come to my home and everything will be alright.

Like all fools we become sorry when the story ends.

A heart wrenching poem that I know comes straight from your heart. To know any life was lost so young is tormenting to all that cared about them. Too many of our troubled youngsters choose this way out instead of seeking help for whatever is bothering them. Valentine

We had lost a few. Everyday should be a good day. We are alive and can do great things still.

Such sorrow, of two beings that could not face living, and someone who felt the need to do more, in my experience its rare one can help, but a moving tribute you have written how we could all do more to help others in trouble.........and appreciate the love that surrounds us.
They decided death was sweeter then life.

Alone and without any notice or words.

They kick away a chair.

Told the world to f**k off.

A sad piece my friend and yet it is the reality of a society where life is as fragile as the mind...strength comes from living even though death is the ultimate finality to absorb the actions of others and to learn from it is to seek to be as life should be...an adventure of joy and happiness

It is true that often we learn a lesson in life too late. A sad story.

I smile at the image of you telling people "Please come to my home and everything will be alright." You have a big heart for people.

Regret and guilt, two feelings its so hard to get rid of, if we even can. But we can try to do better as you did in this poem. Learn to be kinder and as understanding as we can be. I guess that takes the pains of life to learn. You did a great job on this poem.

Memories are all we have for those who leave this life as we know it. Your words brought me through my feelings for my best friend and today I remember nothing but the good times.
I once went to a ceremony my Choka preformed and there I was able to talk to my friend. I got explain what he is seeing and where to go, then I too had peace. Thank you for sharing your poem with me. Life and Light!
