Can cry a tear

Can cry a tear

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

Old poetry. When heart was hopeful and strong.

"

 Can cry a tear

My heart still can a tear.

A tear of loneliness.
A loneliness of losing you completely.

I could of survive without your kiss.

But never see your beautiful face.
Blessing me with your knowledge and
your love of life.

Is much more difficult to forget.

Days have past since our parting day.
Your memory is tattoo on my heart and mind.

Sometime so heavy.
Even the thought of you can make me feel
weaken. Not to tears anymore.

The tears had faded away on a Winter night long ago when
I left you alone with tears and a final goodbye.

You are always on my mind.
I dreamed you came to my door.
Your beautiful blue eyes looking into my eyes.
I reach for you and I awake.

I cry a tear.
I realized when I left you on the cold Winter day.
It was the last time I could see the life in your eyes.

I wonder if the lady in this poem is she of "The Road", which I have recently read. You speak so fondly of the people in your past, I hope one day that I can be thought of as affectionately as you think of the people you have known. I hope that some day you find a way to share this poem with she about whom it was written. The line "Your memory is tattoo on my heart and mind" is my favourite of this piece. Those who touch us deeply touch us forever, and they all leave their marks.

That struck a chord in my heart. In simple words, you have condensed, it seems, a lot of intense emotions. And the reader gets to feel that. The picture makes the words and the over whelming sentiments come alive. A beautiful poem.

powerful.

"I could of survive without your kiss."
just asking, is the "of" intentional? or were you trying to say "I could not survive without your kiss"?
great writing!!

Woah. This poem's actually 31 years old. Proves how poetry's timeless. Anyway, this poem's really sad. The addition of Winter and its coldness added to the feeling. The old you was also good. He conveyed the emotion really well that one can feel its rawness and its honesty. Awesome. :)) Thanks for sharing this!

It's really fun to look back at some of your stuff after years have passed by. They actually make you smile. :)

We lose our innocence, but never the opportunity to hit the open road.

The overwhelming emotions in this poem stand out to me. "I reach for you and I awake. I cry a tear." ...beautiful lines. Excellent work. I like the picture. Thanks for sharing another wonderful poem Coyote.
