The Truth

The Truth

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

People don't fall in love with me
It took 20 years to see

They think they might, so they give it a try
But in the end that willingness dies.

They see the empty shell I am, then turn around and run.
You're better off just playing, with a loaded gun.

I'm a disaster and a mess
Who's getting used to living with less

Really, what's the point? It just leads to heartache.
Who am I kidding, there's nothing left to break.
