Forever

She sits alone in the dark

Disappointment deep in her heart

The feeling she thought she’d be used to by now

But the pain always covers her like a shroud.

Night after night she prays it’ll change

But it feels as if they’re becoming estranged.

Unsure what to do, not sure what went wrong

She always thought she was so strong

He disappears

He’s never here
