Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Caustic_Dystopia

The dark consumes me, I stumble around blind
searching forever to find some light.

The sun is warm, their smiles bright nobody notices I'm drowning inside,
no matter how hard I try nothing seems right.

I reach out my hand grasping for something, anything real.
Silently praying my soul can be healed.

My mind has shattered, there's too many voices
all pulling and pushing me towards even more choices.

This invisible weight pulling me down
keeps dragging and dragging me beneath the ground
