Apology.

Originally written some vague time ago. An apology.

I’m sorry that I lied to you and

that I lied to me.

I’m sorry that our “friendship” wasn’t 

what it seemed to be.

I’m sorry that I lead you on

and let you think I cared.

I’m sorry for the happy times

that we falsely shared.

I’m sorry that I feel this way

that I even feel at all.

I’m sorry that I cannot answer your

texts or phone calls.

I’m sorry that this list is long and 

that it hurts so much.

I’m sorry I can’t apologize for real

and have to do as such.

I’m sorry for who I am, for what

I can never be.

I’m sorry that I know you at all

But more sorry that you know me.
