Depressed Angel

Depressed Angel

A Poem by Sahara Mist

You can brush away the tears, but never the sadness

You can wear a smile, but not be happy

And when someone asks if you are okay

It’s better to lie than speak the truth

Because confessing to all the nightmares storming through your head

Will only bring on accusations of attention seeking

Sometimes crying yourself to sleep is the only way to cope

Not your basic upper, but poignantly phrased. Perhaps sometimes it is better to speak to someone you trust than to continue suffering in silence.
