The Answer is the Question

The Answer is the Question

A Poem by Chad Hollingsworth
"

Just thinking....

"

Searching for answers beyond myself,
Looking through knowledge stored on a shelf,
Hoping to find something of substance,
Finding truth seems only blind chance.

Looking for peace and not just a grin,
Not hope without reason but peace within.
I seem more a slave on this path that I've chosen,
A strange catastrophe in my theater's showing.

Reaching for more but not quite yet grasping,
Desperation not reached is slowing my crashing,
With stumbles I fall my beliefs are now clashing,
Banging and bumping with hopes and dreams smashing.

What's life all about if not for the answers,
Answers not found are so much like cancers,
This journey we walk with so much concern,
Will give needed peace when its' questions we learn.

Questions when asked without knowing the reason,
Will enlighten our path when walked in their season.
And so we will have what's called peace of mind,
When life's questions we find, leaving answers behind.

Questions-Answers.. Can not have one without the other can we? You have written a great poem about how we have to balance the two in our lives and future. A question asked today may perhaps reflect a different answer tomorrow. Very thought provoking pice. Nicely done.
