Striking Marks In My Life

Striking Marks In My Life

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

So it is....if you cannot wait to warm my gaze............

"

So it is

if you cannot wait to warm my gaze
she said
Strangers take in beauty
let it lie
Disintegration gets washed into the sea
Thoughts then again……..
Disperse
before your eyes

All of which
is recalled in morning by elements
Dropped
distinctly there at your feet
in pure light
Within all the ways you look at me
Lines are drawn……..
Striking
marks in my life

I could be completely off mark here but to me this piece comes across like an apologetic lover. It isn't sorry for what its done but more or less sorry for hurting your feelings. Trying to make it better it softens its syllables and speaks with honesty hoping you'll still love it the same way as you did before but understands if you don't. Leaving one with the impression that if you walked away they'd take a piece of you with them.

Like I said that's how I took it. J'adore.

Reality can be dispersed like the sands along the beach, dissolved into limitless thoughts and subtleties...

Each glance cast in emotion does mark future ruminations indelibly.

Nicely written...!

Truly beautiful and with a burning intensity. Well crafted, as always, with a deep cut straight to the feelings of the readership. Stunning.

This is intense Neva.. dropping your pure white light at the feet of another.. handing over all that you are.. That is definitely drawing a line..and placing a personal boundary...x excellent..x
