Soft Words Weep in Stillness

Soft Words Weep in Stillness

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

In places where the sunrise accepts forever's gentle fade stand the tears upon a raindrop's face...........

"

The early morning listens
to soft words that weep in stillness
Echoing from the treetops
of their existence
Distant mountains breathe
an air of sadness
Into the verses that now arise
From my soul

In places where the sunrise
accepts forever's
gentle fade
Stand the tears
upon a raindrop's face
Falling a thousand times
to be lost
in the shadows
Where they play among the pages
Of my day

When the scent of a special grace,
smiles into my depths
Sweet spirals of my existence
break through
I find I am breathing out an air
of precious gladness
Into the verses of soft words
That ensue

you display a propensity for skillfully attaching romance and tender raw emotion to the written word, which i greatly admire and enjoy. you are indeed a romantic poet of the first order, worthy of praise and attention. obviously... you possess the combination of a lover's heart and a warrior soul. exquisite...

The air feels melancholy here, and the picture seems to echo that feeling...

Nature speaks to us in many ways we just don't listen all the time.
Another gem of a poem that in has great wisdom and sweet imagery.

Beautiful. "Stand the tears upon a raindrop's face" -- Zen exquisite.

And I love the dignity of melancholy rising to graceful gladness, as this acknowledges the full spectrum of sensibility, neither trapped in the downside, nor inflated w/the upside -- simply sound.

Soulfully delicious.

I adore the second stanza falling a thousand times what a wonderfully natural image, the sadness such that it is not painful in itself but in the pain of rebirth as once more your love for life is borne on the very air you breath. Beautiful sentiments to end the piece. Keep em' coming

Nice poem.. Reminiscence often gives arise to a lot of complex emotions in ourselves.. I think your poem portrays a beautiful picture of someone who looks back and goes through this emotional journey.. This is my interpretation of course.. But excellent work :)
