Ink In the Wind

Ink In the Wind

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

The time has come and whispers to me from the lips of the universe that the stairs of the fiercest storm are covered with everything that I have hidden in my mind..........

"

I tremble when I hear the voice of the wind saying,
“why should I even care
if my actions close the eyes
of those who yield to me?”
and all that I know
is that here I stand with pen in hand
in a world of my own making,
contemplating
a potential stalemate.

The time has come and whispers to me
from the lips of the universe
that the stairs of the fiercest storm
are covered with everything
that I have hidden in my mind,
confusion attempts to run
through my veins creating a madness
with fingers
oh so unkind.

I gaze at the warm sun and wonder how
I lost the desire
I had in my younger days
to bravely sing to the world
from a throat that had not forgotten
how it feels to stand in the gap
or what it takes to expose winds
that do not care
who their actions destroy.

With pen in hand I speak to the wind
with words the same as if
I called upon
twelve thousand angels
whose wings float upon each gale
as if they were merely
part of a beautiful dream,
once again I feel safe
in this world of my own making,
my trembling ends.

Beautiful, but that was to be determined even before I began reading... :) I love how your own words make you feel at peace, safe in this world. When I feel lonely or scared... I write, it definitely does help make the trembling stop. God bless you for your passionate words of wisdom.

I seek and always find, solace in the pages on which I write.

When I feel dark
I find light
When I feel wrong
I find right
When I feel week
I find might

In the pages that are my book
I find that for which I look
At the tip of my pen
I find my best friend
In the bottom of my ink well
I find my fears are quelled

I seek and always find, solace in the pages on which I write

Your words where so very inspiring, Thank You...! Very good piece...!

Writes are as one with many differnt worlds that they create. Often they will not notice the time and other earthly matters passing them by as they create. It is, as always, just the getting started, the taking control.

Powerful and beautiful words create a good vision. I like the way you described the Angels and the desire of the story. A very strong ending to a excellent poem.

Sometimes, you just have to write. Just do it, like Nike says!

I started writing 10 years ago when i was 15 years old and often i found myself drifting away from the writing off and on. Well i'm glad to say the pen will remain in my hand forever until physically otherwise.

Words are freedom or prison, tis up to the individual to find which. There's no doubt where you sit, displaying emotions with seasoned thoughts and sincerity, a union of calm and unspecified dreamstate, who and what you are inside.
