A Poem by CharlyeMonroe
"

A little exercise where the first lines are taken from tweets, written on the iPad

"
The dead don't need fire
It's useless bringing it across the river
Put your lights on
There's a monster under my bed
Whispering in my ear
Hell bent on taking me out back and rubbing two sticks together
We could have some fun
He says its not hot
Walk across coals
Cut down the biggest tree

Reborn as fire in the time of Prometheus
Pet names
The resurrection stone
I only want to fall in love on television or on the Internet
In real life
Red light special
Gal Friday turned Wednesday
Apple of my eye
Apt pupil
Re
Kindling
Teepee
Pine cone
You can tell where independence pass gets its name
Forth of July
I was born free
Hunting for witches because I want a broom with a view
Spellbound
You're in a strange part of town

Tempting fate
Looking for a lightning strike
Places change
Just last week I passed through this same spot
An exact replica
You are on the white side
This would be a good time to get lucky
Burn m**********r
Smile like you mean it
She says my dreams are what they used to be
You gave me faith

This is for the people, they want you
Lights out
Candles lit in the shape of a pentagram
Calling home, he chuckles
I'll bring my pajamas, we can have a sleep over
Put the gun away when we're tied up
Safety off
Alright, now we're getting somewhere
