Battlefield

A Poem by Chassitie Linnaea Nicole Snow

love Pictures, Images and Photos
Battlefield
My heart is a battlefield
Torn between two loves
Left right left right
My heart is being tugged
I cant make a decision
I don’t know how to take sides
I love them both and everything they are
And it’ll hurt too much to let a love die
I have grown too attached
In very little time

But time has gone by
And I still have yet to decide
Should I go left
Or should I go right
What love should I save
What love should I let die
They are both very caring
And I love their smile
And their beautiful eyes
every time I look at their pictures
My heart swoons inside
It hurts for once that I cant simply stay on the line
I know that at the end of this war
I will lose this fight
Letting one go to keep as a friend
But gaining absolute love
I cant let my choice hurt the other one
It’ll kill me inside
I just hope in the end
That the war was lost
For a very good reason
I am in love with two very great friends
In the end I lose something
But I’ll gain something in advance

Amazing! I've found myself in this position but have never been able to write about it so well. It has a very satisfying cadence and I love the repetition of the left and right. I picture it as someone turning their head in directions, torn by the decision that has to be made, unsure if the final choice will be the right one. It depicts the tension between loving emotions but the torment of having to make a choice really well. Thank you for sharing :)

Those decisions we must make in a life. Some of the decisions leave us empty even in small victories. I like the feel of the poem. The movement and story was outstanding.
