Thank You For Sharing Your Time

 

You didn’t have to smile as sweet as you did

You didn’t have to talk to a friend in need

You did look so beautiful beneath the neon glow

Your smile was so warming so inviting so bold

 

My feet were like anchors next to you by the floor

I could pull myself away only wanted you more

The more we talked the more I couldn’t move

The night so wonderful that couldn’t improve

 

As wonderful a memory that night was to me

You added more and more memories yet to be

We talked, We shared, We cried the night away

My feeling grew stronger and I couldn’t sway

 

We healed each other with our comforting words

Two broken hearted sparrows’ delicate little birds

They say if you love them you must set them free

So fly my angel, my heart hopes you return to me

 

If faith or God has other plans for the path you take

Your happiness matters don’t want you to ache

Be happy my friend and keep up with the rhyme

Thank you for sharing your most precious time
