Homeward Bound

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Written for my brother-n-law who is not long for this world

"
Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me,

And the breath of the Almighty gives me life…

I see you, said the King, the creator of all you see.

Before the first sunrise I determined your very stride.

And your smile is known to me.

I pulled together your strengths,

so, you would help your fellow man.

And I added in some flaws,

so, in me you would depend.

Yes, I know you well and paid for your passage here.

And when the veil is parted your loved ones will line the path

And I too will be waiting.

Welcoming you home again.

dear Cherrie… I believe in the Spirit and it lives in each of us. I feel my guardian Angels touch when I need them. softly, Pat

Beautifully worded tribute and difficult to write under the circumstances. .. I'm sure your whole family is sad, yet you have each other for support and that means a lot... so sorry.
Warmly,
B.

Beautifully penned tribute Cherrie. May your brother in law feel the love that surrounds him. May he find peace in his final days and be prepared for the beyond.

A beautiful tribute indeed Cherrie, and one I'm sure you would have hoped you never had to write, but life goes on beyond what we know and I'm sure that path will be one free of pain and will be his reward for a life well lived.

Thank you Lorry
With the loving family your brother-in-law has had and still does have, the enduring warmth of an earthly family will be his final stepping stone. But, dear Cherrie, your beautiful tribute lights the way to an infinity of love and more, forever and ever. Amen.

We pray for him; when it is our time to go, we must obey the will of God. He calls us home.
As humans, we like to keep our family and friends with us as long as it takes.
