Embers

Embers

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

song

"

V1

Ember warm and burning,

smoldering in my mind

to hold you in the moonlight

And imagine you are mine.

You set my heart to flutter

With a promise from your lips.

Arms that hold me firmly

And a soul stealing kiss.

V2)

 Ember warm and burning

  Now you are my own.

 A flicker from your eyes

 lets me know I’m home.

 For you I’m on fire.

As I focus on one thought.

 A kiss sent from heaven

 Sealed by our lips.

 Slow long and tender,

 A soul stealing kiss.

V3)

Ember warm and burning

smoldering in my mind.

Danced in the moonlight,

Relived days gone by.

Still my heart's a flutter

With a touch from your lips

Slow long and tender

A soul stealing kiss.
