Shut Down

Don't look at me 

don't speak to me 

when you look my way

I want to run 

when you speak to me 

asking where the sadness is 

I detach somewhere 

I go to 

i'm not exactly sure where  

somewhere safe ? 

words and looks shut me down 

it doesn't take much sometimes 

you may not know that I do 

but I feel it 

my body closes up 

it's not how I want to be 

but i'm not quite sure how to get to

somewhere different yet

i'm scared you see 

they hurt me they did 

they really really hurt me

and now i'm alone 

and locked up in this room 

sometimes screaming to get out 

but all I can hear is silence 

inside the glass walls 

outside the glass walls 

I need to get in the room 

to get out the room

but i'm a little bit lost really 

I get  lonely in here 

and I'm scared and confused 

 I wish you you would hear me 

and come get me 

put your arms around me 

and tell me 

everything is gonna 

be alright 

i'm so confused
