The ship called hope

The ship called hope

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

There is none but I

On the ship called hope

A dream or a wish

An idea from the clouds

All reside here

Drifting along on the lonely ocean

Why have so many abandoned

Jumped ship to join the sharks

Eaten alive by their own misery

I have climbed a great stair

To ride aboard my vessel

Is it time now to sink

Sail on happy days

Sail on diamond of mine

I have travelled alone

A sign of things to come, I wonder

Darling, won't you join me

On the ship called hope

Hope is alive and well and there are plenty of staterooms available. I like this piece!

I love the whole theme of this poem. truly creative and inspiring. We must keep hope alive for if you loose hope then we loose everything. Great thought provoking awe inspiring poem.
