Salvation

Salvation

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

Lost, forgotten

We the damned

Forsaken

Not a breath to ease

Nor rise of bones

Where did we go wrong

Calamity in arms

Oh salvation, I seek thee

Too late

A bitter redemption

I surrender love

I kneel in defeat

The last two lines touched me - they so much of emotion and suppression. Wonderful work with words, well done!
