My ShadowA Poem by Chilson, Joshua
Previous Version This is a previous version of My Shadow. My shadow sat along side me, always eager to get inside, to know, to feel, to imagine. Sometimes I wonder if I should, lend my heart to the blackness, so it feels pain, the sadness, and weight I carry. Though I hesitate, would it run away and hide with the moon, seeking refuge beyond the star blazing skies I reach to at night. So I pull away, resting hopes and dreams at it's feet, keeping each fallen star locked away for noone to find.
