I'd Lie To Me, Too.

I'd Lie To Me, Too.

A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.
"

It's a silly time to learn to swim when you start to drown.

"

I'm only here so you have someone to bone

You're only here so I'm not alone.

Nothing has to be anything

as long as it outlasts the others

thoughts trapped in ink form

concede the dying numbers.

I try to imagine you coming over

but I know you never will

theres anxiety lurking in my limbs

and I can't sit still.

Choking on the smoke until my motor functions fail

If your looking to get lost,

follow the teenage angst trail.

It was the season of sweat

and the sun set the field on fire

we all watched from a distance

so we wouldn't melt the tires

Pink curls plastered to my neck

and sweat beads on my brow

I'd write you the perfect sonnet

if I only knew how.

But in truth, you're only here cause I had nothing else to do.

I'm only here cause you had noone else to screw.

I'm only here so you have someone to bone
You're only here so I'm not alone.

F**k me, you just enlightened a lot of people there, I haven't decided yet whether I'm one of them. This is beyond good, I haven't read something like this in ages, maybe it's just us teenage girls eh?

I comend this, f*****g awesome honesty, the type you have to discover through a lot of questioning, I like the 'I can't sit still' reference as well, all been there with this at some point, hate the feverish feeling the uncertainty the, I guess, restlessness. Will be sure to check out more of your stuff!

"I'm only here so you have someone to bone
You're only here so I'm not alone."
&
"But in truth, you're only here cause I had nothing else to do.
I'm only here cause you had no one else to screw."
Those are harsh and striking words. I really like this write.
I think I reviewed this on my old account but I've come across it again and
I've realized that I like it more and more every time I read it.

I love the images of the field on fire, the "season of sweat", and I love the rhyme scheme. However, it seems like somewhere in the middle, the subject matter completely changes and thus the piece loses a little cohesiveness. However, I still really enjoyed it. When I read this, the words kind of jumped at me real strong. I'm gonna read more of your stuff immediately!

straight up .. seriously a very good poem .. this to me is brilliant :

It was the season of sweat

and the sun set the field on fire

we all watched from a distance

so we wouldn't melt the tires

What a great way to describe summer ..

I really like this.
I can relate to it all too well.
This is a sad write, but;
"But in truth, you're only here cause I had nothing else to do.
I'm only here cause you had no one else to screw."
That part was really kickass in it's own respect.
Well written.

Very good. Has a lyrical feel to it and one that I personally happened to enjoy. I am also a musician and things do seem to flow better when you add some music. On it's own merit this piece is interesting and for someone your age I'm amazed at the contrast you can bring to the table. You have a bright future as a writer and as a musician too I would boldly assume. Good job...
