Starless Night

Just a sad poem about death.

In the dark starless night

I cry with all my might

All I can hear is sobbing

My mum lost her dad tonight

He was like a dad to me

Brave and strong

But what I witness is pale white and distorted

This is not the man I grew to love

Why couldn’t he live just one more night?

I pray to the stars and I beg God

To give him one more glimpse at life

But none of them answer my pleas

I scream I cry but he is gone

and now I’m living this

sad shell of a life
