One Day I'm Bound To Die

One Day I'm Bound To Die

A Poem by peter Duggan
"

From the space I come from Nothing dies accept mind and body. Life can never die

"
One Day I’m Bound To Die

Sooner or later I’m bound to die
But when I do please do not cry
Where I’ll go I do not know
No matter what, put on a show
Have a drink, or smoke some dope
Let your soul be filled with hope
That when you die you will feel too
In a joyous way the way I do

I don’t want preachers to pray for me
For from religion I am free
Just dance and sing and celebrate
Cause really grief I kind of hate
For life, my friends, it cannot die
Tis only body there will lie
Consciousness is what I be
As from this body I’ll be free

I’ll face my death without no fear
Because on this, my mind is clear
What was not born can never die
So, hear me friends please do not cry
Just dance, and sing, oh, please do this
Let your heart be filled with bliss
For everything goes round, and round
Though I don’t know where I’ll be bound
