Sweet Serenity

The break of dawns here

It's round about five

The sun it is shining

The day comes alive

Meditation is done

I feel such sweet peace

To feel this sweet power

Gives me such release

I hear the the shrill noise

Of those sweet lorrikeet's

All dressed in bold colours

As I sit on my seat

Surrounded by flowers

And beautiful trees

I am living in Heaven

All happy and free

The morning is my time

It is when I love best

The Galah's start screeching

I feel like I am blessed

I love the sweet cooing

Of the doves filled with joy

Serenity it fills me

That nought could destroy

G'day Coyote. I adore lakes and the serenity of sitting in the silence, but I don't get much time there now. Just to sit in my very bushy garden gives me so much joy. I just love nature and always will. Thank you, my friend for your kind comments...peter

I love early morning. When I was station at Fort Ord, California. I would awake at 4 am. Walk the five miles to Monterey. The sea, the quiet and time for the mind to heal. Serenity is needed for us. If I could. I would be the Big Sur Poet. Drink some vodka and juice, write by the utopia of the Pacific. I do have my Lake St. Clair near. Thank you Peter for sharing your amazing poetry.
