I sing a song of beautyA Poem by peter DugganAs I walk along the wetland trailsI sing a song of beauty
I sing a song of beauty As I walk along this trail That leads around the glistening lake Just I, and here and now tiny birds With sweet delight Touch silence with their bliss It’s Heaven reaching out to me With her soft and sacred kiss.
I listen to the Rhapsody Of nature all around And dance upon the morning breeze Such peace here can be found Serenity walks hand in hand With the laughing, dancing trees As they weave and sway and bob With the gentle, smiling breeze.
As these trees do woo the wind I sing a love song gaily All this loving living life I have to dip in daily To stop my soul from being lost In the madness of my fellows This walk beside the sparkling lake Be made to make me mellow © 2019 peter Duggan |
