Can't believe this is real,
my body is numb,
I don't wanna feel
don't wanna know this is real.

All my life you were there
to guide me and give me hope,
showing me a strength and love that is rare,
this just isn't fair.

Never again will we see your face,
or hear your laughter,
but your loving words and warm embrace,
has bettered this little slice of the human race.

Courage, compassion, beauty and spirit,
you taught me to be proud of who I am
not to fear it
you were my strength, my safty blanket.

Everytime Scooby or Simba comes on T.V.
or we look at the tattoo on my wrist
we'll be saddened but know you are free
you're no longer hurting, so we're happy.

Rest assured we will survive
It's difficult
our lives have taken a nosedive
but we will survive.

About
For me poetry is about emotion, and most of the time when I write I try not to edit too much, if at all, because I believe that it'll only dimish the emotion. For the last few years writing has helpe.. more..
