Acceptance

Acceptance

A Poem by Cierra Scott
"

Yeah, got inspired. :)

"

Little things that people judge,

Little tactics preformed for acceptance.

Feelings get hurt,

And pride is given.

But is that pride worth it,

When you know you've hurt someone dear?

You turned your back on friends,

All to fit in.

Was it worth it?

Why did you give up on your old friends?

Did you think popularity was more important?

Was it worth giving up real friendship?

Tell me love,

Do you think they really care?

Would they catch you when you fell?

Or would they let you fall to your knees?

Just remember,

You can continue with that attitude.

But when you're with that crew,

I'm with people who actually care, and wont leave me behind.

Lovely poem. It reminds me of change and how it can be good or bad. I love that you ask these questions so maybe their eyes will be freed from blindness. Again, lovely poem.

Some lessons are harder learned than others, especially when it comes to true friendships. Was it worth it, only time will tell, some people have different values and moral structures. Once again a beautiful write about real life issues.
