My Fault

Another poem I wrote in school

 

“What did I do?”

I ask myself day after day

She treats me like a criminal

Who should be locked away

 

If I were locked away

Then I could only hurt myself

And all my loved ones would be safe

From the monster who looks like an elf

 

But if I were locked away

The damage I caused would

continue to eat away

At my loved ones beyond repair

Of which my healing could

 

And she would become the criminal

To be locked away in here with me

In my own little dark world

In which one question rings:

“What did I do?”
