Monster

As I stand there gazing at my reflection

Looking into those wicked eyes

Her piercing glare 

Peering inside my mind

Terrorizing my every thought

I can see hell in her eyes

My thoughts lay scattered 

Like an open book for her to read

My mind becomes a soft cell

Strapping my arms together

Unable to escape from myself

My mind

My own worst enemy

Judging and scrutinizing me in the worst possible way

A single tear falls down my cheek

I look at myself 

Wanting, needing more than anything

Just for a peace of mind

Will this ever end?

I think we are our own worst critic and enemy; harder on ourselves than we would be on our friends. To achieve a balance there would be ideal. To love ourselves and see the good within our own hearts. This is good, and you should have more self confidence in your work. Nice Job.
