Stars

Stars

A Poem by CitrtgoW8P

We danced around the room

With the lights inside our hands

Indifferent to the watchers

Peeping through the glazed window frames

No one could catch us

As we sank into the darkness

Bound by our gleaming lights

We fell into the abyss

No one could catch us

And our descent was brief

As we floated to the ground

In a dark and unknown place

With our shining lights beaming through the velvety black

And we looked down and saw earth

With our lights cast on it

We then looked around

And witnessed millions of lights

Surrounding our bodies

Just like ours

We had transcended the confines of our planet

And emerged in the night sky

As brilliant stars, cutting through the darkness

Mysterious to man

And so simple to observe
