Already Dead

Today, I lay here and think of everything I have to say,

I can’t seem to find the words.

So many thoughts cross my mind,

The past

The present

The future

So many things that have come to pass.

As I lay here,

I question

How I feel,

Who I am,

Why I’m still here?

I can’t seem to even fathom an answer

I lay here just to think

And what I get

Is a mind full of

Broken dreams,

Shattered wings

And unspoken things.

Love

Friends

Family

School

All things that cross my mind

But as I lay here

All I seem to think about is how I feel

Confused

Anxious

Depressed

Happy

Angry

All emotions that cross through my body

As I lay here

Already dead.

The awful cold feeling of feeling dead when you're alive, like being undead. Every thought that swirls in your mind only confirms it. These dark places that we fall into that haunt us....like dark shadows. A brilliant write. And so true.

Self reflection can be a time consuming thing, one minute you let your mind wander and the next thing you know it doesn't even matter anymore. Awesome job on this, we are constantly consumed by so many emotions- a lot of wich are inluenced by the people we surround ourselves in- and sometimes they leave you wondering hmmmmm, whats to come

This really hits home, as this is something I struggle with every day. I have had feelings like this before, and oftentimes struggle to find a reason to even get up and keep going. Very well written, I like the broken structure and the way it flows. Keep up the good work
