Double Slit (In The Eye of The Beholder)

Double Slit (In The Eye of The Beholder)

A Poem by JustCate
"

This is the truth of how we allow things to carry on for so long when they really aren't right.

"

If no one looks too closely

everything can be ok.

It is all just waves

flowing through our entropic universe.

But pin any one thing down

and suddenly,

there are problems.

This particular [             ]

is just not quite right.

It’s not the one I wanted

or how I thought it would be.

It was supposed to be some other kind of way.

How far can we sink below the surface

where the waves have settled

and it’s calm

Before we lose sight of the point?

slit in the eye is what the elves gave you when they grabbed you, made you see their world. so, 'doubleslit eye' seems to me a very good title. your title i find too long, explains too much.
i very much enjoy the [ ] significant.
central to my crit: how come 'the point' is more significant than [ ]? the illusion of security? of self? of meaning and goal? perhaps floating on the waves is the hedonist's way, the enjoyment factor? you describe it as calm, in which i read alone, at peace, as well. perhaps purposeless, which would define the loss of the point.
enjoyed this one. thanx.
you bring in the nature/nurture balance and growth as want, thought, supposition, and do it well.
