~Death of the Prep

~Death of the Prep

A Poem by Clyde du Coeur
"

A girl, different from the others.

"

Lump in the throat and tearless eyes

“Destroy her suicide note "
It didn’t bring on her demise.”

Who was to know?
She, of all the girls...
Stereotyped and never known,
She was the loneliest girl in the world.

Behind the baby-pink eye shadow
and pastel outfits
Lay a girl never taught to plait or bow,
and a Pandora's box of secrets.
