PawnShop

A Poem by Judas Hammer
"

The extent a man will go.....

"

PawnShop

A man told me he had the keys

To Heaven.

I asked him where he got them.

He said- a pawnshop on Van Nuys Blvd

From An Armenian man with a lot of K’s and J’s

In his name.

I asked him if he had anymore?

He said-no

He had purchased the last set.

So, I beat the man and took his keys

Some people will do anything to enter paradise

Even hurt his brother

There was an unexpected twist in the last line of this poem. Its sad but true.

Interesting yet disturbing. I really don't know how I feel about the fact the person would beat a man to get in to "Heaven". still a worthy write.

OH WOW! HA HA. THIS IS WRITTEN IN A SIMPLE WAY. YET SO DEEP, SUCH A TRUE MESSAGE IN THAT POEM. WHAT WOULDN'T WE TO GO TO PARADISE? GREAT WRITE, UNIQUE STYLE AS WELL.

Very well penned, and a great use of brevity. You captured the regular nature of humanity, and how we all want to circumvent life with the easy way out. Its never so simple as getting the keys, or taking them from the owner. Very well written

so very true, it happens continously...funny thing is , when he finds the door the keys go to , they'll turn out to be a bad cut and guess who he'll blame first? The owner of the door, why oh why did God give him a set of bad keys!? very nice write , very thought provolking.

I wonder how having the keys will square up with how you got them.
