That's what you get for looking at the last page first to find out who done it. I do get your meaning and understand it but...as for tragic endings, if this is not the last page then, hey, more story awaits. You have a pen, I know you do...write beyond the tragic end and create exactly what you hope to see and feel.

Your poem really spoke to me in a deep and profound way. The line about being "too preoccupied with my tragic little ending" really stuck with me. It's so easy to get caught up in our worries and fears that we forget to enjoy the beauty and magic of the present moment. Your words reminded me to slow down and appreciate the journey, not just the destination. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world!

we often focus on endings before they even happen...

doesn't leave much time for enjoyment of what is going on or what is just starting up.

Yes, it leaves no time at all! Thank you so much for the review. It’s so appreciated.
sometimes we are so focused on one thing that we forget what happened before or after that may be as or more important.... I love your lines because they mean so much and are so opposite....such a great brevity poem, which I love to read and write myself.... Great job Cat.....

So true! Sometimes we are so preoccupied with trying to predict the future that we fail to embrace the present and reflect positively on the past we have left behind. A beautiful beginning to a tragic end implies quite a bumpy journey has ensued. Your two lines express so much in just their small space on the page. Excellent brevity. I hope all that cola drinking hasn't given you vertigo as the name change implies! ❤
