A letter to a lover no longer mine.

I thought of you today

I’m not sure why

Even after the days

Since we said goodbye

When I realized

I was wrong

it was too late

You were gone

I wonder sometimes

how you are

and if you’re wishing

on a star

And so you’ve moved on

As have I

We both dream of a better life

In the sky
