Defiant

Your will be done, as I come undone

You fail to see it, she is the one

But your way is true, your way is right

I am sorry, but I can no longer stand by your side

 

Your will be done, as I come undone

Can I be honest? All I want is to run

You reject and rebuild the way you see fit

I am sorry, but I will no longer submit

 

Your will be done, as I come undone

I am exhausted, has this only just begun?

I tried to keep everything together

I am sorry, I can no longer tread this stormy weather

 

My declaration be heard, my defiance be heard

My chains forever unshackled and burned

My life is mine to live

I am sorry, but I no longer need you in it

The few off rhymes in this poem serve it surprisingly well. This is something I hope to incorporate successfully into my writing!

That note aside, the structure and pace of the poem are well utilized. You have a clear finesse with words, and there isn't much I can critique without alluding to changing your style. It is effectively written, and that alone defaults it to be an enjoyable read. The mix of apology with defiance is a brilliant and genuine blend.

a brilliant poetic rebuke to the unwanted love or even the unwanted God, its open to interpretation and that's great for us readers, i love the anger that is slightly understated and yet overwhelming too, its a literary gem :)
