Queen of Suns

A Poem by Colton Warr

A kiss from the sun, oh how well it burns

And for the next, oh how my lips yearn

Her Solar Flares have scorched through the ice

Forever destined to float through space, oh how the tables turn

A kiss from the sun, oh how well it soothes

And the blood within my veins, oh how it moves

I am caught within her gravity's pull and still feel safe

But tell me how it is, that a ball of fire's surface is so smooth?

A kiss from the sun, oh how well it stings

And perhaps I will travel to Saturn and present, to the sun, a ring

Would the sun ever decide to spend the rest of her life with a man who was cold?

If I had her love, only then, would I feel like a king

A kiss from the sun, oh how well it sears

At times, as her lips peel from mine, I am moved to tears

What on earth could ever compare to her flame?

I want to melt away with her for the rest of my years

                               *****

Her hair pours like fire from her head

I noticed it all the way from the moon

To be rotting here so far from her is the one thing I dread

I pray to the stars and cosmos that I can kiss her soon

Her smile illuminates even the darkest corners of space

I see it calling from a corner of my own

I want to go to it and disappear with her without a trace

The starlight, the cosmos, the heavens are all things that, to me, she has shown

                              *****

I have been kissed by the sun, oh, have I ever

How did I breathe, how did I live, before I met her

The Sun and The Moon together, oh what beauty

Every flare and ember from her I will forever treasure

A Moon, I was, thought to be lost within space

But saved, I have been, by the absolute glow of her face

The shine of her smile pulls me in to stay awhile

A Moon with nowhere to be, I have now found my place

I have been kissed by the sun, oh, how I have

There must be a God, how did I find her without a map?

And I never want to go back, her warmth feels like home

Can someone thank this God for her, on my behalf

A Sun, she is, a queen of warmth and fire

But enraptured, she has made me, every flame I do admire

The taste of her lips has me in full eclipse

I want The Queen of Suns until her heat expires

                               ****

My whispers turn your glow into a red, rampant rage of fire

They speak of how I wish to not stop until you tire

The moans, the hands gripping and grasping, you clutch anything you can

The Sun and the Moon making love, I can hear heavens choir

My hands gripping your waist as I thrust, pull and push at you

We make a mess all over the solar system, oh what a view

I don't stop, I don't quit, my insertion has you seeing stars

My tongue dances along the suns neck, how I adore her, if only she knew

My lips carefully caressing The Suns back as I pull her fiery hair

I bring her eyes close to mine, so while I'm in her, we can stare

She's getting close now, as her moans enter my mouth

I go deeper as she explodes for me, what an interstellar affair

I've missed your writing!!!

This was amazing. You had me until the very end. These days, I can't focus on anything. So thank you. I've been gone since 2016. I come back in 2018, and this is what I read first?

Very, very, happy about it. Can't wait to catch up on your stuff.

The best parts of your well-crafted message are (1) the way you carry the astral imagery thru-out with much originality & imagination (many writers use similar imagery, but yours is done in a fresh way) . . . and (2) the way you use active powerful verbs & other word choices to deliver a strong sense of longing & passion. To me, your warning is not needed, as the sensuality is subtle & tender, not blatant or crass (just the way I like it). I also like the way you take your time getting to the crescendo . . . hate it when people rush this . . . sensuality cannot be rushed! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I love this piece, and I get right away that it's all about intensity and heat. The only thing that could dial it up even a higher notch is the flow and placement. Some of the middle areas do not match the beginning or end in rhythm. It is not quite cohesive. On their own, each section is a great sequence full of vivid imagery, metaphor, dichotomy, a great study of opposites coming (and, ahem, cumming together maybe?? ;)) However, the sections should match a little better... and while it ends really hot and a lot of vivid erotica is on display there... the profession of love and a ring is above.. so that is a little more like a romantic love story. Of course you can have both romance and erotica... but I'd love to see this even steamier and the flow of words swimming into each other and rolling off the tongue a tad more liquidly... other than that! Wow, I definitely love a good rolling about among the cosmos, and the seeing stars was a nice touch!

Sometimes being the moon is very risky as we only depend on the sun for light...

This is so amazing! I specifically liked the mentioning of delivering the Sun a ring from Saturn. I thought that was very clever. My only critique is that the second section just seemed off. The rhymes and the words just didn't flow like the rest of your poem.
