Moth to a Flame

Moth to a Flame

A Poem by Comatose
"

A bit different, but oh well.

"
Confidence, wit
Attitude and style
Simply a mask put on
For your soul's denial
You say you've forgotten
All about me?
My touch and my smile.
You loved me I see.
And that's how I owned you
Spirit and all
Yet now you defy me
Standing so tall
For you to attack
It must be so hard
Those so cherished moments
In your mind are still barred
One day you'll remember
All that I've done
This is fate you see
So don't try to run
My dear little puppet,
Justify I might
Although times I wonder
Was my choice right?
For you see little pawn,
It was not of your voice
When you escaped from my world
It was from my choice
Now we're together
You're locked in my gaze
And finding your way out
Like it's some kind of maze
Now off of my tongue
I list all your flaws
Like how you come running
Into my outstretched claws
So that mask on your face
Is to deceive those you know
That it is you and not I
That is in control
