Chocolate Cake

Chocolate Cake

A Poem by ComradeRG95
"

This is about the Scramble for Africa/New Imperialism.

"

Seven spoiled children walk into a bakery.

We want more Red Velvet they whine.

No more Red Velvet left " a young eagle ate it all.

No more Red Velvet? But we’re hungry! We want more!

Have you tried chocolate cake? It’s not bad if you try.

Chocolate? We’ve had a nibble, but none too much.

Try some more " taste it, it’s good. More cake can’t hurt.

Victoria jumped at the first chance she saw.

This cake is delicious! I claim it my vassal!

Shame this small vanilla piece is such a hassle!

Next was Marianne, who grabbed all she could gobble.

Though I love with my heart the colors blue, white, and red.

This dark, black chocolate goes great with French bread!

Alfonso stepped up to the plate, eyeing this beauty

I’ve had my nibbles, you can have the rest

For I already had pieces from the east to the west

After Alfonso came his close cousin Miguel

My face is tired and to be honest near dead

Maybe a nibble, but I’m full from velvet red

Walked up Jupiter who had just been revived

I’ll take all I can, but this damn piece won’t budge

I’m very annoyed " for this I hold a grudge!

Awed in his might, William fought to the front

Eating this cake sure gives me euphoria

When I’m done I’ll try to steal from Victoria!

Finally small, little Leo limped to the table

I see you’ve missed the center of this magnificent chocolate cake

For this I will consume, for all of it I will take

No more pieces left to consume

Seven spoiled children eyed to make sure

We’ll see who has the most cake after our splendid, little war!
