When I grow up I want to be a little girl

When I grow up I want to be a little girl

A Story by Coolchick

We are born to this world then we grow up (some don't ) . It's no secret that one day you'll reach the age of 50 and later on 80 and if you are lucky enough to survive another birthday you'll reach the age of 90 (Now that's a bummer , because by then you'll be really old and wrinkly and perhaps all alone , taking the fact that perhaps your loved ones are gone or too busy in life to take care of you.) .Everyone dislikes getting oldER  , who wants to become older with more responsibilities , wrinkles on that once fresh bubbly face , and not to mention the amount of body fat increases because your body doesn't burn fat as it used to . When you are young ,( and young her is anywhere between the age of 1 and 27 , yet ofcource with bigger responsibilites as you age in this age group ), you look forward to "another" birthday , having lots of friends to share your happy moment , yet once you are on the steps of reaching the big 3 0 , you somehow dread it , you suddenlt "forget " when is your birthday , and if you are a woman you never seem to get old , because you are always 25 . Live your "youth" I'm not gonna say life , because you can live it at any age , what I'm saying is live your youth before you regret not doing all the youthful things that you should be doing when you were young , because as someone once said "Live your life to the fullest , because when you get older you will be able to enjoy it twice " , but that doesn't mean to not take any responsibilits in life ,as someone I once knew never took any responsibilities in life and when he finally took responsibilits , it was too late for he died of the ripe age 30  . Age is a but a "Number" and I agree with Elizabeth arden when she says "I'm not interested in age. People who tell me their age are silly. You're as old as you feel."

Just rembember as Billie Burke says "Age is something that doesn't matter, unless you are a cheese."

When you are very young you live a life free from responsibilities as you grow older you adopt responsibilities when you get to be really old You cast these responsibilities aside for someone else to adopt. Then you reagin the freedom you had as a child to do what you want to do not what you are expected to do. Not for me growing old gracefully much more fun being old disgracefully. The child within is ready to come out to play again

True thoughts, whimsical in a way yet worth pondering. Age doesn't creep up on you it comes at a dead run it seems.

Time well spent on these thoughts of yours...

Nice work.

you might be the closest person i've seen to being free, you choose what you do, what you want, and you do them!
i like all the wise and well chosen quotes!
and the title, it shows the child within you! a passionate child! who's holding on to life, and to its happy moments!

i do wish you a handful of beautiful memories, and more!

keep it up!
