Some one squeezed out the clouds

like a wash woman's towel

and suddenly

tears cling to the slick hot cheeks

of Peaches,

baby blue

like the hue of skies choking

back replies

when it's circulation has been cut off

and green,

yes green

is the color of leaves

that refuse to blush in fall,

the mornings

are the sound of your name

leaving my lips

when my eyes open,

repeatedly

like the nickname

that sticks out of my school girl

Bobbie shocks

quiet and shooting skyward

 like hissing balloons,

mind thief,

I love you...

the mystery never ends.

This poem was great. I like the thoughts it created in my mind. You have a way with words that makes this poem playfully serious. I really enjoyed this today.

Thank you so much Julie
I will honestly say I had to read this poem several times, not because I was confused, but because the imagery is so creative, and I love the way you juxtapose certain images with expressions unknown to me like the first four lines. Simply riveting! It's nice to read something that is NOT cliched!

Thank you so much Karen.
Dana is spot on, Corset. Upon having returned to the site I can think of 1 or two other close friends who have really transcended with their writing; experimenting, and refining; you, are one of them. Another well written piece. Fantastic imagery, and a great finish ... that left open/ that door.

I told you before, you sound like Plath here. that same innocent artfulness, that exact same
breath pattern. funny isn't it how romance can forgo all the many imperatives you dare not
overlook. mystery lurks in every shadow yet that same mystery never ends.

I would be remiss if I failed to tell you how sumptuous your writing has become. how open
and free like the sheets of a foresail...like I know what that is..lol.

love always.

This is a mind boggling read and not in a bad way.. I've read it several time and have come away with different takes but the love remains and I'm pretty sure that's what this is all about. Love it!
