A Poem by Corset
"

some friends stopping by. poetry in pictures.

"
A friend of yours
A Friend of mine
Living the subtle reminders
we are still here,
wild in coincidence.
Calling me back to the Cafe
to testify the backyard wonder.
I'm sorry I was away, life in wild motion
the Earth is still turning me back to you,
no need to be afraid.
Just saying hello out there...and thank god for
windows and fences!

Sometimes we need to experience life away from the screen and the wonders of doing so can be so rewarding :) Nice to read you today Corset, glad you found time to post about the beauty of life :)

life is all about the little things, isn't it?
We always find out way back, it seems. And what was that grade school fable of the boy who dropped kernels of corn along his path so he could always find his way home? Poems are a kind of bearing. A jib boom rigging for bringing in the sail on a schooner. A lighthouse. A USO. An indispensable indwelling where cultures clash then descend before falling to earth. After so many written words, we are family now.

When I was stationed overseas in the North Atlantic during my Navy days, we all went to the USO on Wednesday nights. A piano was there but no one could play it. Cookies from some unknown baker were always there as was a spaghetti and meatball dinner. No one ever ate it though. We just enjoyed each others company......dana
