My Miracle Babies

I get upset when I hear about abortions, it's not fair to any baby. At age 20, I became pregnant with my first child. I had wanted a large family, even though I already had two stepchildren, that visited on the weekend.

Two doctors wanted me to think about abortion when I became pregnant with my first child. I told them no way, God knew what I could handle and what I couldn't. They said my medicine could cause physical problems due to seizures. My pregnancy was very hard. I went through many grand mal and petit mal seizure's.

When it came time to give birth, my doctor in the emergency room overdosed me with medication because she thought I might have a seizure while in labor. I had no auras, so there was no reason for it. My lips turned blue and had to be rushed to the Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY. I could have died or my son. They didn't think I'd make it. We both were lucky to be alive. I Was in labor for 27 1/2 hours when an emergency C-section had to be performed. My son was born healthy as can be, at 8:15 a.m., 8 lbs. 6oz, 21" long. Four years later, a healthy baby girl at 8:20 a.m., 8lbs. 8oz., 19" long.

Elizabeth Ann and Curtis Allen, now grown up and on their own. I would never had these two miracle babies if I would have listened to the doctors and aborted them. I love them very much and so thankful I made the right choice.
