A Heart Full Of Bitterness

A heart full of bitterness
Causes others to cry.
Their heart eventually,
Turns black as coal.

Their sweetness turns sour,
From others putting them down.
They put on a mask when others
Are around them, hiding the truth.

To cover up their tears, for the truth
Nobody would ever believe.
Eventually, they turn their backs
To the whole world, become lonely.

If only they weren't treated unkindly,
Shown love and support, we could
Have been that light at the end
Of that tunnel, saving their sanity.

Forgiveness is all that person ask for,
Yet, they chose to not hear a word.
When it all comes down to it, they
Were the ones that owed the apology.

They once had dreams, like us too.
Because no one cared to be their light,
In their life, helping them along the way,
Everything has now been shattered.

Next time you see someone treated
unfairl, step up and show a little
kindness, let them know you're there
To help, not to give up on themselves.

Some day down the road, the way you
treat others, is exactly how they'll treat
you, too. You will then regret what you
had done to them, now you know how
they feel, now you too, are bitter.
