With Fire Dancing on the Walls

With Fire Dancing on the Walls

A Poem by KL

Written in Rio Dulce, Guatemala, in a beautiful hostel hidden amidst mangroves and silent waters.

One in one and one in all,

Fire dancing on the walls

Fire dancing on the walls

In the trees with grass too tall

Fire dancing on the walls

Fire dancing on the walls

Heard my name but missed the call

Fire dancing on the walls

Fire dancing on the walls

Heard my name but felt too small

Fire dancing down the halls

One

in

One

and

One in all.

Nice piece- love the use of repetition in this piece. I actually have a couple friends who are fire dancers, so the imagery was really cool to read. :)

the title itself conjures up such a vivid image..the repetition works, flows well and brings a smile to the face

This was an excellent write, the repetitive lines like flames flickering against stone~

I feel lost in the beauty of the world, in the same way that the character is enveloped within the natural elements that create the setting of this piece. Fire dancing on the walls is just such a unique use of imagery, it definitely sparks strong visual qualities that add to the magic of this poem.
