Lorazepam Shore

Lorazepam Shore

A Poem by KL

on the frontlines of a lorazepam shore

one could almost feel a completely
synthetic
wave of contentedness washing away

it's a beautiful nothing for those with
nothing beautiful in a world made of
pixelated
screens carrying the people in wired boxes

the Alone are not alone

the insiders wear mirror faces and
reflect the same image
the same image
the same image
in collective shame
and comfort
with desire to live but not knowing how or why

it can be a beautiful something for those

who understand anything in a world made of

mirrored faces

carrying pixel images and nothing else.

but on the steps of an autumn door
one should immerse in the colours of
not just leaves
but the spectrum of ultraviolet life
and infradeath

Are we still able to really live our lives?... or are we already only living through the myriad of screens?...that pulsate the blood through our collective eyes? Have we degraded what's left of ourselves as jigsaw pieces in this giant mirror to the world...?

Interesting and stirring. Wonderfully done.

Cool! I love the imagery of mirrored face, utraviolet life and infradeath seen from the lorazapam shores. Love it! Very unique and creative poem. Twist for our twisted fall season.
